Attention Users of the Boat Playground!

If you’ve enjoyed the Boat Playground at 45th & Lincoln, a gateway into Golden Gate Park from the Outer Sunset, you’ve probably noticed that there’s not a restroom to be found within a reasonable walking distance (especially if you have a toddler or two with you).
A group of neighbors, led by the 45th Avenue Neighborhood Association, has organized to get funding to build a restroom in this playground.
District 4 Supervisor Katy Tang, with a contribution from Super visor Eric Mart, has put aside $815,000 of funding to support this effort.
To secure the remaining funding needed (based on the City's final project plan), we are applying for a Community Opportunity Fund grant. We need a strong showing of community support to make our request for additional funding successful. Please sign our petition to demonstrate that a bathroom at this important neighborhood playground will be valued by the families and children who use it.
